One of the things mom has been trying to do on this trip was to recreate social media pictures that are famous. You know the ones I mean. “Holding” the Eiffel Tower. Splashing water at the beach with the focus on the water drops. Some of these were possible, others not.
After our cafe dinner, we went up to the Louvre Museum. Mom immediately wanted to get on one of the blocks to do the picture of holding one finger on top of the point of the Louvre’s glass pyramid. So, we help her up onto the block, and realize that her arms aren’t long enough to get the picture. We could go further back, but would be in traffic. Instead, we got pictures of her making the attempt and falling short, and photobombers adding a touch. In all, the results are far better than the million and one social media pictures, we actually got a one-in-a-million shot, and the memories of making it.
